Cradle Beach Granted Funds for New Programming

Cradle Beach is the proud recipient of funding from the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo and the Patrick P. Lee Foundation.

The funding will support Project S.O.A.R, a year-round intensive academic improvement program targeting children at Buffalo Public School #43 – Lovejoy Discovery School. After two years of planning and researching evidenced based programs in the country, Cradle Beach will be working daily with forty 3rd and 4th grade students to provide in-class tutoring and mentoring along with day and weekend field trips to our site in Angola, NY. This will be in addition to the students attending a 10-day summer camping session at our site as well.

The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo (CFGB) is a public charity holding more than 800 different charitable funds, large and small, established by individuals, families, nonprofit agencies and businesses to benefit Western New York. Since 1919, we have served the needs of this community and the wishes of our donors through personalized service, financial stewardship, local expertise, and community leadership.

The Patrick P. Lee Foundation is located in Key Largo, FL and Amherst, NY. It is a charitable foundation dedicated to providing support to non-profit organizations that empower families and communities with the resources needed to create positive change in areas of education, cancer treatment/research, mental health and human services in South Florida and Western New York.
