BUFFALO - The Patrick P Lee Foundation will provide $1,000,000 in grants to ten local organizations and two South Florida organizations in the first of a two part award cycle this year. The foundation, created by Patrick P Lee, founder of Enidine, is positioned to become one of the regions largest private foundations.
The Western New York recipients are: D’Youville College; Family & Children’s Services of Niagara, Inc.; Meals on Wheels; Healthy Community Alliance; Camp Good Days; Bison Scholarship; Crisis Services; Summit Educational Resources; Roswell Park Cancer Institute; Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
South Florida recipients are New Hope Corp. and South Dade Child Care.
Frederic Cook, the executive director for the family foundation said, “We’re all facing new challenges during this economic downturn. Our foundation is working to help address the critical needs within our community, but that’s not enough. It’s up to all of us to play a roll in making a positive impact on the quality of life in Western New York. Everyone has the ability to make a difference.”
